About Us

A non-profit organization devoted to providing entertainment primarily to senior citizens, the Carolina Copy Cats lip sync performances of vintage music decked out in costumes reminiscent of the song’s time period along with dance routines and acting to complement the arrangements.  The members in our group range in age from 50 plus to 104 and we perform around 32 shows within the October through April season.  This all volunteer group provides all the sound equipment, costumes, and props for each performance to places like nursing homes, church groups, club meetings, and retirement communities.  The Carolina Copy Cats were founded in 2007.

Vintage songs come from musicals like Hello Dolly, Chicago, Sweet Charity, Meet Me in St. Louis, etc.  Our senior audiences readily remember such songs as Pretty Baby, Lollipop, Let Me Call You Sweetheart, By the Light of the Silvery Moon, A Bushel and a Peck – the smiles, laughter, and applause we receive is our reward.  The impact on some people upon hearing songs they grew up with has been dramatic…and that feedback comes from the care givers/attendants who are with them all the time.

  1. A SPECIAL performance by the Carolina Copy Cats was featured at a Tega Cay Vintage Club dinner. The Copy Cats wowed the 120 attending members and guests with a wide variety of songs, costumes and music. Always on cue, the Copy Cats gave their best in memorable numbers that included Elvis and Sinatra. They brought the roof down with their closing number; “When The Saints Come Marching In.” The Vintage Club thanks each Copy Cat for a GREAT performance!
